Changing your email when your old email (or domain) is deleted
Normally, changing your owner's email requires verification through the old email address. If you no longer have access to that email, this isn't possible.
Below are two workarounds for this situation. We recommend using these methods only when you've lost access to your old email, as they involve more steps and manual processes.
1. Invite your new email as an owner and remove the old one
This workaround involves adding your new email as a new owner and then removing the old, inaccessible email from the owner role.
Let's say Oliver wants to change email from [email protected] to [email protected]
First, invite new email ([email protected]) and assign it the Owner role
Assign the Admin role to this new email in all Neeto products.
Once new email ([email protected]) accepts the invitation, ensure it has all necessary Owner & admin roles assigned.
If you use NeetoCal, change the host for all scheduling links from [email protected] to [email protected]
Now, you can remove old email ([email protected]) from the workspace. This effectively transfers ownership to the new email .
2. Use an intermediate email to change the owner's email
This workaround allows you to change your email without affecting your existing scheduling links.
Invite a personal or temporary email address (e.g., [email protected]) to your workspace and make it an Owner. This email should be one you have full access to.
Log in to the workspace with this newly added owner account ([email protected])
From this [email protected] to the desired new email ([email protected]) This will transfer the ownership internally.
(Optional but recommended) Once the change is complete and verified, you can remove the [email protected] account from the workspace if it was only intended as an intermediate step.
