Track query params & utm source in embedded scheduling link

When you embed a NeetoCal scheduling link on your website, it can be difficult to identify where your visitors are coming from—especially if you’re running multiple campaigns or sharing your site link across different platforms (like LinkedIn, X, or email).

To solve this, NeetoCal allows you to track UTM parameters such as utm_source directly through the embedded scheduling link. This helps you identify which campaign or channel generated the booking.

Use case example

Suppose you post your website link on LinkedIn to promote a “Book a call” campaign. When visitors book a meeting using the embedded NeetoCal scheduling link on your website, you want to know that the traffic came from LinkedIn.

By enabling query parameter tracking, NeetoCal automatically captures the utm_source (for example, LinkedIn) and saves it with each booking. You can later view this data in your Bookings or Popular channel Reports section.

Steps to Track Query Parameters (UTM Source)

  1. Go to the Scheduling Links tab.

  2. Click on the scheduling link you want to track.

  3. Open the Settings tab.

  4. Click on QuestionsAdd New Question.

  5. Choose Text Input as the question type.

  6. Name it utm_source.

  7. Ensure the Field Code is also set to utm_source.

  8. Enable Hide question.

  1. Navigate to the Reports section.

  2. Open Popular Channel Reports.

  3. Click on Configure Source.

  4. Add a new source and name it utm_source.

  5. Click on Save changes.

Set up embedding with query parameter forwarding

  1. Go back to your Scheduling Link.

  2. Click on the Share tab.

  3. Click on Embed on a webpage.

  4. Choose Inline Embed.

  5. Select the option "Forward query parameters from your webpage (for UTM parameters, pre-filling form data, etc.).

Embed on your website

  1. Copy the generated embed code.

  2. Paste it into your website’s HTML where you want the scheduling form to appear.

  3. In the embed URL, append your UTM parameter.
    Example:

    https://yourwebsite.com/booking-page?utm_source=LinkedIn

Once someone books a meeting through your website:

  • The UTM source (e.g., LinkedIn) will be automatically captured as a hidden field.

  • You can view this data in:

    • Bookings Page (to see the source for each booking)

    • Popular Reports (to analyze which source drives the most bookings)
