WhatsApp notifications in NeetoCal are paid per message. Every workspace gets free 100 messages each month, and you can buy prepaid packs when you need more. There's no subscription and no setup fee.
What counts as one message
Each WhatsApp notification sent to one person is one message.
A booking confirmation sent to the client is 1 message.
If the host also gets a confirmation on WhatsApp, that's 1 more message.
Each reminder is 1 message per person. Two reminders before a meeting, sent to the client, is 2 messages.
Reschedules, cancellations, approval requests, and rejections are 1 message each, per person.
The length of the message doesn't matter. Every WhatsApp notification counts as one message.
Free messages
Every workspace gets 100 free WhatsApp messages each month.
Free messages reset on the 1st of every month (UTC).
Unused free messages don't carry over to the next month.
Free messages are always used first.

Prepaid messages never expire.
They're used only after the month's free messages run out.
You can buy as many packs as you need. New messages are added to what you already have.
Messages are added as soon as the payment goes through.
You only pay for delivered messages
A message is counted only when WhatsApp confirms it was delivered or read.
If a message fails, for example because WhatsApp can't deliver it, it isn't counted.
While a message is on its way, it's set aside from your balance. If it fails, it goes back.
If WhatsApp never confirms a message, it's returned to your balance after 30 days.
Messages are never sent to people who haven't agreed to get WhatsApp updates, so those don't use your balance either.
Example
Say your workspace has 200 bookings in a month. For each booking, the client gets a confirmation and one reminder on WhatsApp.
200 confirmations + 200 reminders = 400 messages.
The first 100 come from free messages.
The other 300 come from prepaid messages. One 500-message pack covers this, and the 200 left over carry into next month.
What happens when messages run out
If both free and prepaid messages run out:
WhatsApp notifications stop. Email and SMS notifications keep working as usual.
WhatsApp notifications that couldn't be sent show as Not sent in WhatsApp logs. They aren't sent later.
WhatsApp notifications start again when you buy a pack, or when free messages reset on the 1st of next month.
To avoid a gap, NeetoCal emails your workspace admins when 50 messages are left, and again if they run out. Both emails have a Buy messages button.
How to buy a pack
Click Admin panel in the left sidebar.
Under WhatsApp, click WhatsApp usage.
Click Buy messages.
Choose a pack and complete the payment.
Your new balance shows once the payment is confirmed. Members need the View WhatsApp usage permission to open this page.
Frequently asked questions
Is the balance shared across the workspace?
Yes. Free and prepaid messages belong to the workspace. All hosts and clients in the workspace use the same balance.
Do I need a WhatsApp Business account?
No. NeetoCal sends the messages for you. You don't need to set up anything with WhatsApp.
Can I see where my messages went?
Yes. The WhatsApp usage page shows how many messages each type of notification used this month. WhatsApp logs show every message, and whether it was counted from free or prepaid messages.
